/sw software distribution

Currently supported are these platforms:

• Linux Ubuntu (x86 64bit)
• Linux Debian (x86 64bit)
• Linux Redhat (x86 64bit)
• Linux Mint (x86 64bit)
• Windows Cygwin (x86 64bit)
• generic UNIX (subplatform "share" only)

/sw uses its own directory namespace under /sw/ and /client/, so there is no danger of a path collision with other software.
/sw main purpose today is providing of fstools (Frams' Shell Tools) including the F*EX tools.
/sw currently contains over 400 programs.

Installation

• Installation for all users

  To install /sw for all users on your system you have to download swlocal and execute as root:

  bash swlocal
  

  You can do this with one command:

  curl https://fex.belwue.de/sw/swlocal | bash
  

  After installation you should run as root periodically

  sw update
  

• Installation for one user

  To install /sw just for yourself you have to download swuser and execute:

  bash swuser
  

  You can do this with one command:

  curl https://fex.belwue.de/sw/swuser | bash
  

  After installation you should run periodically

  sw update
  

• Installation for Windows

  For Windows you can use cygwin-portable-installer which installs /sw with Cygwin.

After installation /sw looks this way:
