Linux tools: lvmresize

lvmresize resizes (shrink or extend) a LVM logical volume with ext or btrfs filesystem.

LVM's own lvresize can only resize the logical volume and not the filesystem inside.
→ with lvresize you can destroy the filesystem!

usage: lvmresize -l             # list logical volumes
usage: lvmresize LV [GB]        # resize logical volume LV
usage: lvmresize DIRECTORY [GB] # resize logical volume where DIRECTORY is
